We are told that there are three basic questions to pose when confronted by a situation in need of change. “Where are we?” “Where do we want to be?” And, “How do we get there?” If a recent article on the latest Pew Research Center’s study of Millennials is any indication, the path of the last question will be difficult to navigate.
Losing the Language
We were fortunate to revisit the Hawaiian island of Maui. I had been sent there decades ago on a business trip, but even then we were able to get away for a few hours each day, learning why they call it, “Paradise”. We found then all the descriptive words to be true; beautiful, friendly, exotic, all wedded together by the alluring accent of the folks we met. So invocative was the sound, that after we returned home I called a business we had visited just to hear their voice.

The chief priests and scribes watched with consternation at the tumultuous welcome being bestowed upon Jesus as he came into Jerusalem. The Bible says they were, “sore displeased”. By the time they reached the temple many of the celebrants were children.
